If you have children under the age of 5 and you live in any San Joaquin County zip code, they can receive one FREE book in the mail every single month — at no cost to your family.
Register online in about two minutes. Have more than one little one? Sign up each child under age 5.
Please allow about 8 weeks for the first book. A brand-new title then arrives each month, addressed to your child.
Moved recently? Just contact us so the books keep coming to your new address.
A child signed up at birth will receive 59 free books by the time they enter Kindergarten!

Read to Me, Stockton! is an organization of community volunteers who have worked together to bring Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library to all of San Joaquin County. Children in the program get their very own book in the mail each month from the Dollywood Foundation.
Reading in these critical years significantly influences a child’s lifelong capacity to learn.
Just $30 gives one child a book every month for an entire year. Your tax-deductible donation puts books directly into the hands of young children throughout Stockton. Our goal is to reach all 20,000 children under 5 in San Joaquin County.
